Josh’s Profile

Since leaving school at the end of 2008 I have worked firstly on a casual basis (whilst I was studying at the University of Queensland) and then on a full-time basis (from January to December 2012) for Finance Administrators of Australia Pty Ltd (FAA).

FAA performs the back room loans administrative function for Cash Converters – a franchised network who are the largest micro-lender in Australia (besides other aspects of their business). I was fortunate to have worked in several sections of FAA but predominantly in the Customer Services Department (otherwise known as Credit Control or Collections) and Online loan underwriting sections. I have therefore gained knowledge and experience of the various stages of money lending – data verification and origination (loan assessing), Online loan marketing and processing and the all-important customer service function. I have learned to focus on routine with a positive view.

 

Life is people oriented and therefore getting on with people (both colleagues from within the workplace and business clientele) is vital. I have learned to temper myself and show compassion and empathy whenever necessary. I have natural enthusiasm in abundance and can always be relied on to give that bit more – go the extra mile.

  • QPS and OP qualification.
  • Was In the First XI cricket team.
  • Was in the 2nd XV rugby team.
  • Was in the 2nd XV AFL team.
  • Was a student mentor.
  • Was part of the College school spirit committee.
  • Enrolled in to University of Queensland in January 2010 but put my studies on hold to travel the world.
  • Achieved my Certificate IV in small business Management in 2011.
  • Achieved my Certificate IV in Financial Services during 2012.
  • Became a member of Mortgage Finance Association of Australia in 2015.
  • Became a member of the Credit Ombudsman service (COSL) in 2015.
  • Achieved my Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage broking in 2015.
  • Achieved my Diploma of finance and mortgage broking management in 2015.
